Invent Penn State LaunchBoxes announce winners of 2022 Idea TestLab

The Penn State Mont Alto, Harrisburg and York LaunchBoxes recently announced the three winning startups of their regional Idea TestLab pitch competition. The competition concludes a five-week-long virtual business idea accelerator that helped eight selected startups through coaching and training on identifying business models and customer discovery.

Launch Box Fall Forum to feature student entrepreneurs

Workshops provide education for business start-ups

The Mont Alto LaunchBox, which provides free services and assistance to aspiring entrepreneurs, will offer three workshops this fall to provide inspiration and education for business start-ups. They are free of charge and open to the public.

Workshop helps kick-start business ideas

The Mont Alto LaunchBox will offer a free workshop for aspiring entrepreneurs from 6 to 7 p.m. April 25 at 40 North Second St. in Chambersburg. “So, you have an idea for a business. Now what?” will be presented by Kathyrn Gratton, SCORE Four State Chapter chair, Arts Alliance of Greater Waynesboro executive director, and a certified small business mentor.

Startup Week challenges to showcase entrepreneurs and change makers

Entrepreneurs across the University will pitch their business ideas and create inventive solutions to common problems through a series of competitions and challenges held during Penn State Startup Week from April 1-5. The challenges are at the heart of Startup Week’s mission of teaching and inspiring participants to make innovation a part of their lives, communities and careers, either by starting their own companies or bringing a problem-solving approach to established organizations.

Penn State Mont Alto to host LION Tank competition

The Mont Alto LaunchBox will host its second annual micro-grant pitch competition, LION Tank, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on March 15 in the General Studies Building auditorium on Penn State Mont Alto campus. The event, sponsored by the Patriot Federal Credit Union in Chambersburg, is open to the public and free of charge. Registered audience members are eligible to win prizes.
